Please read the following contraindications below to see if you're a candidate!

{contraindication: something (such as a symptom or condition) that

makes a particular treatment or procedure inadvisable)

Lifestyle Contraidications

TANNING:

Clients who tan in tanning beds will have tougher skin to implant pigment and a huge risk of pigment turning grey.

Aside from the damaging effects of UV rays causing possible skin cancer and premature aging, Tanning will also cause your pigment to ash out and fade.

Exercise:

Clients who are avid fitness buffs working out 4-5 times a week will experience faster fading.

Please note: You can NOT workout 5 days after your tattoo procedure!!

Skincare Contraidications

Clients must stop using Retinol, Accutane, and lash growth serums for 12 months prior to the procedures. These products can cause major damage to the skin if they are tattooed over.

Additionally, after the procedure, clients who use products with glycolic acid, salicylic acid, AHA, lactic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, etc must be aware their work will fade considerably faster than someone not using them.

Medical Contraindications

  • Clients who are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding

  • Clients with a heart condition or is using heart medications.

  • Anyone with diabetes will need a physician’s approval.

  • Anyone with skin diseases or inflammations.

  • Clients currently undergoing radiation or chemotherapy are not candidates for PMU.

  • Clients who are allergic to lidocaine, tetracaine, or epinephrine. (We will not tattoo without numbing creams.)

  • Clients on blood thinners.

Skintype
Contraindications

Clients with super oily skin and/or large visible pores will have faster fading due to the nature of excessive sebum production.

We will likely have to pack color in the initial appointment as color tends to fade much quicker than dry/normal skin types.

Annual touchups will also be required MUCH sooner than other skin types.

Microblading is not the best technique for oily skin types.

Once you have determined if you are a candidate for Permanent Makeup, please read our pre-appointment instructions prior to scheduling a service.
